Patents, 30 May 2024
The Innovations and Intellectual Property Department of JINR announces that on 21 May 2024, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research received a certificate of state registration for GCRs Spectra, the program for calculating the spectra of primary particles of galactic cosmic radiation at various levels of solar activity. Author: Ivan Gordeev (Laboratory of Radiation Biology at JINR).
Congratulations to the author on receiving the state registration certificate!
“GCRs Spectra: program for calculating the spectra of primary particles of galactic cosmic radiation at various levels of solar activity”
The program is designed to calculate the spectra of primary particles of galactic cosmic radiation at various levels of solar activity measured in the Wolf number. The software algorithm is based on an open-source model by the German Aerospace Centre. The program automates model calculations and visualises the results of calculations. The software has a graphical interface that allows the user to set the input parameters necessary for the calculation and visualise the result. The output of the program is a visual image of the resulting differential spectra of the flux density of primary particles of galactic cosmic radiation and the corresponding distribution of charged particle fluence, with the ability to save data in the TSV text format and graphic formats (png, eps, pdf). OS: Unix and Windows (compatible with Python interpreter).
Programming language: Python 3.11 using numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and PyQt5 modules
Program size: 200 Kb
