“Future architecture of international legal order” lecture

On Friday, 17 May 2024, at 4:30 PM, the JINR Scientists’ Club invites everyone interested to the “Future architecture of the international legal order” lecture.

The lecturer is Aslan Abashidze, Honoured Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Vice-Chairman of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Professor of MGIMO of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Head of the Department of International Law at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.

The following questions will be discussed:

  • Which of the present elements of the collective security system should be preserved and which should be abandoned?
  • What forces besides sovereign states can influence the process of establishing a new architecture of the international legal order and what is the role of Russia in this process?

The lecture is aimed at strengthening the interaction of the JINR natural science community with scientists working in the field of humanities.
