“Fear and Trembling” (2003): Amélie was born in Japan. At the age of five, she returned to Belgium with her parents, but she always believed that Japan was her homeland. Amélie signs a one-year contract to work as a translator for a Japanese firm, and it seems to her that her dream has come true. But soon she realises that despite her excellent knowledge of Japanese she still has a lot to understand about Japanese culture.
