Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in the Central Federal District Irina Potekhina came with official visit to Dubna. During the visit, Irina Potekhina was accompanied by Dubna City Mayor Vyacheslav Mukhin, Head of the City Administration Alexander Usov, as well as Advisor to Mayor Nikita Smirnov. During one day, the guest was acquainted with key scientific and educational areas of the city: she was acquainted with activities of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, visited the campus of the University “Dubna”, as well as the Special Economic Zone “Dubna”. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the city enterprises and their personnel requirements. Irina Potekhina was also interested in educational programmes for school students on the basis of the University and the Institute.

Irina Potekhina informed that a special working group established by order of the RF President and headed by Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the Central Federal district Alexander Beglov have hold the all-Russian forum “Future intellectual leaders of Russia” for three years. The staff of the forum selects talented children who have patents, who won regional, national and international competitions in mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy. For three years, the forum has formed the base of talented children, which includes one and a half thousand people. And now the main target is to make employers aware of such a bank where talents are collected.

During a conversation with representatives of Dubna, Irina Potekhina noted that she sees Dubna as a potential partner. Cooperation with the city will provide employment of talented persons at the enterprises of the science city. She emphasized that all work with high school students is based on the needs of employers.
