By the beginning of the new academic year, we would like to present you a cycle of five popular science video lectures by Academician Yuri Oganessian.

In these lectures, Yuri Oganessian talks about the origin of nuclei and elements in the universe, various approaches to the artificial synthesis of elements heavier than uranium, the existence of the “island of stability”, as well as the prospects for obtaining new nuclei at the accelerator complex, the Superheavy Elements Factory.

The course is intended for a wide audience, namely researchers, engineers, postgraduates, and students.
