Independence Day of Republic of Azerbaijan

The Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been celebrated in the JINR Member State since the 1990s in honour of the proclamation of independence of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic by the National Council in 1918.
Relations with national scientific centres of Azerbaijan have existed throughout the entire history of JINR. In 2023, the main scientific organizations of Azerbaijan cooperate with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research on 12 topics of the JINR Topical Plan. They are Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Institute of Physics of ANAS, the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, Baku State University, the National Nuclear Research Centre of Azerbaijan, etc.
JINR and Azerbaijani colleagues cooperate in many areas of research and projects of the Institute, including the NICA Collider and the IBR-2 Reactor, theoretical research and research on neutrino physics and astrophysics, the JINR information and computing system. Many specialists from Azerbaijan have completed training programmes in Dubna.
The Directorate of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research congratulates Azerbaijani colleagues and partners, as well as their relatives, on the Independence Day and wishes them good health, happiness, prosperity, luck, and new professional successes for the benefits of science and progress.
