Registration for School on Physics of Quark-Gluon Matter opened
Education, 10 February 2023
Students of 1–4 years interested in elementary particle physics are invited to participate in the School on Physics of Quark-Gluon Matter, which will take place at the Joint Institute from 30 March to 3 April.
The organizers of the School are the Joint Institute and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Lectures of the School will be devoted to the theoretical picture of the microcosm from the basics of quantum mechanics to the features of the strong nuclear interaction. Lecturers will speak about methods and approaches of modern experiment in high-energy physics and give a general picture of research in this field in the world today. Lectures will be delivered in Russian. The programme includes excursions to the JINR laboratories.
The intensive School on Physics of Quark-Gluon Matter is held in Dubna within the preparation for experiments to test the fundamentals of quantum chromodynamics at the first Russian megascience facility – the NICA Hadron Collider.
Registration is available until 1 March via the link.
