Physics teachers from Nizhny Novgorod at JINR

On 18 and 19 August, physics teachers from Nizhny Novgorod visited the Institute. The two-day programme included a visit to five laboratories and an introduction to the main projects and research facilities.
During excursions to the laboratories, visitors saw the NOvA neutrino experiment remote control centre and the Earth’s magnetic field compensation room in the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, the spectrometer complex around the IBR-2 pulsed reactor in the Laboratory of Neutron Physics, the Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex in the Laboratory of Information Technologies, the N. N. Bogoliubov’s memorial office in the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, and the NICA collider accelerator complex in the Laboratory of High Energy Physics.
