A project of the Laboratory of Information Technologies “Tier1 CERN Data Center to process data from the Large Hadron Collider” won in the “Project of the Year” contest, organized by the Association of Directors of Russian IT companies GlobalCIO in the category “Development and modernization of infrastructure”.

The award ceremony was held on 28 January 2016 in Moscow, in the “Radio City” club. The prize was awarded to the project manager, LIT Director V.V.Korenkov.

The uniqueness of the Tier1 data center of JINR is that it should work with absolute reliability and availability, receive information from the CMS experimental facility at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), ensure data long-term storage and distribution on request to all data centers for processing and analysis.
