Saint István Day in Hungary

On 20 August, Hungary, an Associate Member of JINR, celebrates the main state holiday Saint István Day.
Hungary was one of the 11 founding states of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Hungarian scientists cooperate with JINR mostly in the fields of theoretical physics, condensed matter physics and heavy ion physics.
The Directorate of the Institute congratulates Hungarian colleagues on St. István Day and wishes them and their loved ones good health, happiness, prosperity, new successes and achievements for the benefit of science and progress!
Saint Istvan was the first king of Hungary, it was under him that Hungary became a single European Christian state that has existed for more than a thousand years.
