Registration for International Baldin Seminar open
News, 09 August 2023
Registration for the 25th International Baldin Seminar on High Energy Physics Problems, Relativistic Nuclear Physics and Quantum Chromodynamics, is open. The event will take place on 18-23 September 2023 in person at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research as part of the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development. The Seminar is organized by JINR with the support of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics.
The Seminar programme includes overview reports that representatives of large experimental collaborations and theorists in the field of relativistic nuclear physics are going to deliver.
Seminar topics cover such scientific directions as quantum chromodynamics at large distances, relativistic heavy ion collisions, hadron spectroscopy, multiquarks, cumulative and subthreshold processes, structure functions of hadrons and nuclei, dynamics of multiparticle production, polarization phenomena, spin physics, nuclear astrophysics. Reports will also be dedicated to studies of exotic nuclei in relativistic beams, applied use of relativistic beams, accelerator facilities (status and perspectives), NICA/MPD/SPD Projects at JINR, progress in experimental studies at high energy centres such as JINR, CERN, BNL, JLAB, GSI, etc.
The Seminar continues the series of traditional meetings that was established by Alexander Baldin. Among conferences organized by Alexander Baldin, particularly this series of the International Seminars on High-Energy Physics Problems, initiated in 1969 with the support of Moisej Markov, is of special importance.
The working language of the event is English. Registration is open until 15 August 2023 via the link.
