By tradition, the event had a festive atmosphere. Guests and scientific secretaries of Dissertation Councils, in which defences were held, took part in the ceremony.
At the festive ceremony, diplomas were awarded to Victor Smirnov, Evgeniy Stepanov, and Ilya Perapechka’s supervisor, Yakov Shnir, by proxy from the applicant. Alexey Eskin was awarded the diploma on conferring an academic degree on the same day. He did not have the opportunity to attend the ceremonial part. A few days earlier, the JINR diploma was handed over to a dissertation defender from Egypt, Mahmoud Abdellatif.
Victor Leonidovich Smirnov, a citizen of the Russian Federation, was awarded the degree of Doctor of Physics and Mathematics based on the results of the defence of his dissertation “Precise methods of the beam dynamics analysis in a cyclotron” in the speciality 01.04.20 “Physics of Charged Particle Beams and Accelerator Equipment”. The defence was held at the VBLHEP Dissertation Council for Particle Physics.
Evgeniy Pavlovich Stepanov, a citizen of the Russian Federation, obtained the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics subsequent to the results of the defence of the dissertation “Research of multipath routing methods to ensure the quality of the network service” in the speciality 05.03.11 “Mathematical supply and software of computers, systems and computer networks”. The defence was held at the MLIT Dissertation Council for IT and Computational Physics.
Alexey Vladimirovich Eskin, a citizen of the Russian Federation, got the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics following the results of the defence of the dissertation “Energy ranges of two-particle and three-particle bound states in quantum electrodynamics”, speciality 01.04.02 “Theoretical Physics”. The defence took place in the Dissertation Council for Theoretical Physics at BLTP.
Ilya Anatolievich Perapechka, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, was awarded the degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics following the results of the defence of the dissertation “Boson stars and rotating black holes with matter fields”, speciality 01.04.02 “Theoretical Physics”. The defence took place in the Dissertation Council for Theoretical Physics at BLTP.
Abdellatif Mahmoud Mohammed Khalifa, a citizen of the Arab Republic of Egypt, obtained the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics subsequent to the results of the defence of the dissertation “Dynamic symmetry breaking in physics of mesons and top condensation models”, speciality 01.04.02 “Theoretical Physics”.
