3 March marks the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman yoke of the Republic of Bulgaria, a JINR Member State.

The Republic of Bulgaria joined JINR since its foundation in 1956. Bulgaria takes an active part in all JINR scientific activities. A milestone in the history of relations between the Institute and Bulgaria was the Year of Bulgaria in JINR in 2021 that coincided with the 65th anniversary of the Institute. The November session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Institute took place in Sofia as part of festive events. One of the important achievements of the session was the signing of the Sofia Declaration proclaiming the value of international scientific and technological integration.

The Institute’s Directorate congratulates Bulgarian colleagues on the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman yoke and wishes them and their families good health and well-being, successful work, scientific achievements, and discoveries for the benefit of science and progress!
