“Modern IT technologies for solving scientific challenges”

On 27 May 2019, a two-day IT School for young scientists “Modern IT technologies for solving scientific challenges” organized jointly by JINR and the Khetagurov North Ossetian State University (NOSU) will be launched in the JINR Information Centre in Vladikavkaz (the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania).
Young scientists and specialists from universities and institutes of the South of Russia will gather at the NOSU Physics and Mathematics Department to participate in the School in the frames of which leading specialists of JINR will deliver their lectures.

According to organizers, in modern science, the application of advanced IT technologies allows discovering new research methods as well as modelling complex physical processes which is a keystone for the implementation of modern mega-science projects.
The School is aimed at an acquaintance of participants with modern methods of solving applied tasks at the most advanced computational architectures with the use of parallel programming techniques, modern methods and instrumentation for the data analysis, machine and deep learning.
The programme of the School also includes tutorials that will be held on the Heterogeneous platform “HybriLIT” based on the ecosystem for deep and machine learning.
It should be reminded that on 12 October 2018, a festive opening of the first JINR Information Centre in the North Ossetian State University was held. The JINR Information Centre was established for the purpose of coordination the JINR cooperation with regions in the South of Russia, as well as popularization of the JINR activities and its achievements to attract the youth to science, starting from school-aged students, by organizing various educational programmes.
