Leading JINR scientists won the RAS elections

On 15 November 2019, at the General meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the results of the RAS elections held on 11 – 15 November were confirmed. As a result of the elections, two more JINR scientists were elected as members of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Chief Researcher of the Laboratory of High Energy Physics Igor Nikolaevich Meshkov became a RAS full member of the Physical Sciences Division. In 1991, I. N. Meshkov was elected as RAS Corresponding Member.
Acting Vice-Director of JINR for the NICA megascience project, Director of the Laboratory of High Energy Physics JINR Vladimir Dimitrievich Kekelidze became a corresponding member of the Physical Sciences Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences. V. D. Kekelidze is a leader of the project on the creation of the accelerating and experimental complex NICA/MPD.
