JINR at SkLab.Dubna

From 25 to 29 October, the SkLab.Dubna programme is held in a hybrid format on the platform of the Special Economic Zone “Dubna”.
SkLab.Dubna is an intensive programme for students, postgraduates, young scientists, and entrepreneurs focused on new startup ideas in accordance with Dubna’s scientific and technological priorities and foresight projects of the Skolkovo Innovation Centre.
On 26 October, Head of the Sector of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions Alexander Nechaev participated in the programme with a lecture “Ion track technologies: applied results and ideas for startups”. The FLNP employee talked in his speech about the experience of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions in applied research with the use of accelerated heavy ion beams, including for production of track membranes.
Moreover, in November, participants will have a tour of the JINR’s NICA accelerator complex depending on the epidemiological situation.
SkLab.Dubna participants are discussing a rapid launch of technological startups in such fields as medicine and biotechnology, information technologies, composite materials, nuclear physics and nanotechnology, design of complex technical systems.
80% of the SkLab.Dubna programme is group work, which allows participants to study their ideas effectively.
The programme is organized with the help of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region and Dubna State University as a part of the national project “Small and medium sized businesses and support of individual entrepreneurial initiatives”.
