JINR and Mexico further cooperation

On 12 January 2023, JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov and JINR Vice Director Vladimir Kekelidze had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico to Russia Eduardo Villegas Mejias. During the meeting in the residence of the Ambassador, the parties outlined further steps to develop the cooperation formats between Mexico and the Joint Institute.

It was the first meeting of the new Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Russian Federation with the JINR delegation consisting of JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov and JINR Vice-Director Vladimir Kekelidze, at which he got acquainted with the Institute. Grigory Trubnikov invited the Head of the diplomatic mission to visit JINR in return to get familiar with the unique infrastructure of the international scientific center and real examples of cooperation between scientists from Dubna and Mexican scientific organizations.
The participants of the meeting highlighted the mutual interest in the cooperation development. They also noted with satisfaction the role of the cooperation within the framework of the NICA Complex Project as a catalyst for the progress of large-format cooperation.
As a next step, JINR is going to hold further consultations with representatives of the Mexican scientific community alongside the upcoming session of the JINR Scientific Council.
