On 5-23 September 2016, the 3rd stage of the JINR international student practice is being held, in which students from South Africa (27), Belarus (10), Cuba (2) and Serbia (3) are taking part.

The students came here to work on their projects at different JINR laboratories under the guidance of our leading staff members during a period of 3 weeks.

On their first day in Dubna, the students attended a lecture on the JINR history and main research directions. During the practice they have already managed to go on exciting excursions to Moscow and Tver. Moreover, on September 16 the “International morning” at the JINR Visit Centre was held. The programme included a lecture on history of Russia and Dubna, also the participants delivered presentations on history and culture of their home countries complementing their speeches with songs and dances in the national costumes.

Such meetings at the Visit Centre are already becoming a good tradition. It is planned that in the future guests coming to JINR will also actively participate in the events organized by the staff members of the International Cooperation Department and thus spend their time within the walls of the Institute combining business with pleasure.
