Every day since the opening in March 2016, active work on reception of visitors has been held in the JINR Visit Centre. The flow continues to grow. In addition to excursion groups, including groups from schools, JINR Visit Centre began receiving delegations from the City Administration of Dubna, as well as JINR internal events, briefings, instruction of visitors and employees of JINR.

Thus, on 25 May 2016, a regular meeting of the Working group on information technology, headed by JINR Vice-Director G.V.Trubnikov was held in the JINR Visit Centre. The group had a meeting in the new centre for the first time; the main issues were devoted to information security, information policy (including issues of software licensing), and, in addition, the group discussed the status of the launching of the electronic document management system, which is being promoted in JINR. JINR Chief Engineer’s Office spoke about the strategy of development of geographic information systems (GIS) in the next few years in JINR.

In the future, besides holding of external and internal meetings and workshops, the JINR Visit Centre will begin receiving employees and partners coming to JINR. It’s planned to expand the range of services and organize the work of the reception service through the single window on the basis of the Centre.
