Organization, 16 December 2020
On 16 December 2020, the JINR Directorate represented by elected Director Grigory Trubnikov congratulated the national group of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan via video conference.
In his congratulatory speech, Academician Trubnikov noted successes of the cooperation of JINR with scientific centres of Kazakhstan, as well as highly evaluated work of a young and dynamically developing national group of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Institute. The group not only demonstrates high scientific results but also plays an active role in JINR social life.
In the frames of the meeting, the programme of the year of celebration of the 65th Institute’s anniversary was discussed, and participants presented the idea to organize an online seminar dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the DC-60 accelerator constructed in Kazakhstan with the participation of JINR specialists. Moreover, Grigory Trubnikov proposed to hold a competition of scientific studies being conducted at the accelerator by young Kazakhstani scientists and noted that the DC-60 accelerator is kind of a magnet attracting the scientific potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Head of the national group of the Republic of Kazakhstan Damir Aznabayev and his deputy Aidos Issadykov welcomed this idea and spoke about the development of the scientific infrastructure in the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Almaty. They also offered to contribute to the cultural programme of the 65th JINR anniversary: to organize the performance of Kazakhstani employees working at JINR who can play the dombra, a national instrument.
On behalf of the JINR Directorate, congratulations on the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been sent to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Yermek Bedelbayuly Kosherbayev.
