Today, Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Academician Grigory Trubnikov turns 45.

Academician Trubnikov is a prominent scientist with extraordinary skills in science organization. He passed the way from a post-graduate at the JINR University Centre to the position of the Institute’s director.

Grigory Vladimirovich made a decisive contribution to the NICA project, which has become a JINR flagship project and the international brand of the Institute.

His high scientific achievements, talent, energy were appreciated at the state level when in 2017, he was invited for the position of deputy minister of science and higher education of the Russian Federation, and later on, in 2018, he was proposed to become the first deputy minister.

The broad vision of problem-solving and innovative approach of Academician Trubnikov found reflection in drafting the new Strategy for the Institute’s Development until 2030 and further and set a new direction for the development of the Institute. At the same time, Grigory Vladimirovich has high authority and wide support of all generations of scientists. Moreover, the activities of the JINR Directorate under his leadership significantly contribute to the development of the science city of Dubna.
