From 12 April to 12 August 2021, the Museum of History of Science and Technology of JINR invites to its exhibition hall for the exhibition “Workdays of a researcher in XX century” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Institute.

The exhibition in the Museum of History of Science and Technology of JINR will demonstrate exhibits from the Museum’s holdings, as well as the memorial room of Bruno Pontecorvo (DLNP JINR). These are the items of everyday work of JINR employees in the 1950-1990s, documents, photos, scientific devices and equipment. A part of the devices is in working condition, so it will be possible to print several layers using a typewriter, listen to disc records, watch transparencies with an overhead projector, and calculate with a Casio calculator of the 1970s.

The exhibition is a joint project of the Museum of History of Science and Technology of JINR and the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems JINR. It is the result of a series of materials of the column “XX century. Everyday life of a researcher” published on the DLNP JINR website from September 2020 to March 2021 in honour of the 65th JINR anniversary.
