The 7th JINR/CERN School of Information Technology «GRID and Advanced Information Systems» is being held on 24-28 October 2016 in the International Conference Hall in Dubna.

The organizers of the School are the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and the European Organization for Nuclear Research under the support of the National Research Nuclear University “Mephi” and the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

The main topics the School are the NICA project, Advanced Information Systems and introduction to the grid technologies & JINR grid activities.

The School is attended by more than 90 undergraduate students (as well as students pursuing their Master’s degree and post-graduate students) specializing in information technology from leading Russian universities (National Research Nuclear University “Mephi”, Saint Petersburg State University, Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, S.P.Korolev Samara National Research University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Tver State University, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Higher School of Economics, University “Dubna”), as well as students of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

As a part of the School there will be a coding competition and a 3-hours hackathon where participants can compete with each other in writing a winning algorithm for a game. Any school attendee can participate, either individually or in teams. The winners will receive prizes.

For all the School attendees a certificate of participation will be given.
