57th meeting of PAC for Particle Physics

The 57th regular meeting of the PAC for Particle Physics of JINR will take place on 23 January at the JINR International Conference Centre chaired by Itzhak Tserruya.
Programme of PAC meeting for Particle Physics
The PAC Chairman will open the event and present information on the implementation of the recommendations of the previous PAC meeting.
The PAC members will hear the information on the Resolution of the 131st and 132nd sessions of the JINR Scientific Council (February and September 2022), on the decisions of the session of the JINR Committee of Plenipotentiaries (November 2022), and on the JINR Seven-Year Plan for 2024 — 2030 presented by JINR Vice Director Vladimir Kekelidze.
Reports on the ongoing projects will be made by Anatoly Sidorin (“Nuclotron-NICA”), Nikolay Agapov (infrastructure developments including the Nuclotron), Victor Riabov (MPD project), Mikhail Kapishin (BM@N), and Alexey Guskov (TDR of the SPD detector).
The agenda of the meeting will be continued with reports on the status of ongoing projects as requested at the previous PAC meeting, namely COMET (Zviad Tsamalaidze) and T2K-II (Yuri Davydov), as well as on the research results obtained by JINR groups in the LHC experiments: ALICE (Boris Batyunya), ATLAS (Ivan Yeletskikh), and CMS (Vladimir Karjavine).
Within the programme of the PAC meeting, poster presentations by young scientists will take place. The PAC members will meet with the JINR Directorate.
Adoption of the PAC’s recommendations including proposals for the next PAC meeting will conclude the event.
