15th JEMS training programme started at JINR

On Tuesday, 25 February 2020, the15th International training programme for decision-makers in science and international scientific cooperation JEMS – «JINR Expertise for Member States and Partner Countries» (JEMS-15) was launched.
JEMS-15 is attended by delegates from Bulgaria, Cuba, Egypt, the RSA, Russia, Vietnam all being leaders in scientific and educational fields, contact persons of organizations, coordinators of future JINR information centres. The JEMS training programme has once again expanded its geographical borders, and this time, representatives of Armenia and Turkey take part in the event for the first time. JEMS expanded its geography in the territory of the Institute’s location country. Thus, delegates from Kamchatka take part in the event for the first time.
The peculiarity of the present JEMS training programme is that it is held in a “condensed” four-day format and not in five days as usual. In spite of it, the agenda did not undergo considerable changes and participants will have an intensive programme divided as follows: “Heavy Ion Physics and Accelerator Technologies”, “Neutron Applications and Nano-world”, “Neutrino, Theory, Information, Education”, “Life sciences on the Earth and in Space”. Milestones of the training programme will be summed up on Friday evening at the traditional round table with the JINR Directorate.
